Milk Fun

Tuesday, June 15th, 2010

It’s true, W.W. left his cup of milk to close the edge of the butcher block.

Yes, it’s true E.C.’s little hands reach the top of the butcher block when he stands on his tip toes.

Of course, it’s true when I’m not looking this happens.

No More

Tuesday, May 25th, 2010

I spent a good portion of the weekend hiking with my kids. Sunday turned out to be a tad on the windy side, but we braved the Salinas Ruins anyway.

You know your child has seen enough of the camera when they do this instead of smiling.

No more Mommy!

I remember those wonderful days when every time I pulled out the camera one of my kids would come running to ham it up for a shot. Now I’m lucky to get a smile, and I mean a non goofy smile, and that’s the truth.

Chew What?

Tuesday, May 18th, 2010

Sunday we volunteered our daughter to watch the kids for a little while to take in the sights of Iron Man 2. I felt like the whole movie presented loads of back story setting the audience up for the next movie. But that’s a different story.

We can’t go anywhere without seeing some horses first. My husband had to stop and trim 3 horses on the way to the theater. So I took in the sights.

Just look at this gal! She’s going to town on her lead rope.

A little talk later I learned the majority of this heeler’s horses are thoroughbreds from the track. This girl worries at her rope as she waits her turn. She’s feeling a little anxious and it shows. Only 10 days away from the track she’s still adjusting to a normal horse life. After living in a box then running the track then back to the box, repeated over and over and over again a little fresh air takes a bit of getting used too.
